In "Break Down to Break Through: A Cosmic Way Forward," Jennifer Morgan, founder of the Deeptime Network, will explore how science is leading to new understandings of the universe. In this timely and inspiring presentation, Jennifer explores important questions. How are we to make sense of the traumatic shift happening on the planet right now? Can a deeptime perspective help us see that this is one way that the Cosmos moves forward? At this pivotal time in history, we find ourselves in the midst of a stunningly dynamic cosmic process that reaches through the stars, galaxies, and the Earth into the innermost depths of our being.
Celebrate the Ten Year Anniversary of Journey of the Universe. Join us for a film screening and discussion with Mary Evelyn Tucker, John Grim, and Sam King. Box lunch included.

What does it mean that the stars are our ancestors? This retreat will consider how the story of the universe is awakening new possibilities for education in a planetary era. Designed for a wide range of educators, this retreat will draw on the Emmy Award-winning film Journey of the Universe and the legacies of Maria Montessori, Pierre Teilhard De Chardin, and Thomas Berry. It will combine contemplative practices with discussions of how we can orient young people to an animate and interconnected Earth community. At a time of ecological crisis, this retreat will offer hopeful strategies for helping future generations take up what Thomas Berry called the Great Work--the transition to an era of human-Earth flourishing.

The divine gesture is offered in silence. We need only look to know it.
Wordless, imageless, immanent divine
who flies the hummingbird and sings the nightingale,
raises the mountain and sinks the ocean,
blows the winds and crashes the stars,
whispers the lovers and plays the child.
Every place we look, every creature we see, a revelation.
Of the silent, breathing mystery.
We need only look to know it.
