REPLAY - TAKE ACTION ON BIAS IN TECHNOLOGY
-- ICYMI --
Watch the Replay of our recent Take Action Event
We have received some great feedback on our recent Take Action event "Bias in Technology". Unfortunately, during the event, we experienced some challenges that made the event less accessible than we had planned and for that, we apologize to those who were negatively impacted. When reviewing the recording we were further disappointed to find that the ASL interpreters were not included in the recording. Additionally, the automatic captions made a number of mistakes. One of the examples presented at the beginning of the event was how speech recognition software didn't do as well with female voices or those with a non-American accent which describes several of our speakers. We have found and corrected many of the mistakes in the captions but ask that if you find any additional mistakes that you let us know by emailing info@simsfl.org.
