Teachers and informal educators: Join us for a two-part, ecology-focused, professional learning experience! Online and in-person (at Kellogg Bird Sanctuary) portions! If you have been wanting to learn ways to do science outdoors with your students this is going to be a great workshop!

Kellogg Biological Station’s K-12 Partnership Spring workshop: Biodiversity: Organisms as Tools for Discovery
  •  April 11, 4:30-6pm, online, Dr. Alisha Shah: Can insects take the heat? Using thermal tolerance to understand biodiversity and vulnerability (click on title for more details)
  • April 23, 10-3 pm, in person Field Day @ Kellogg Bird Sanctuary: Learn about biodiversity alongside K-12 teachers, educators and MSU scientists! Through this hands-on workshop, we’ll practice ways to recognize, measure, and understand how to measure biological diversity. (click on title for more details)
  • Program is FREE! Participants receive a stipend, meal, SCECHs and build a network of colleagues from across the state.
