Hooray for the Bay
by Sharon Burns
The Stone Jetty Cafe
On now
10 am - 4 pm Tuesday - Sunday (closed Mondays).
Sharon has created a series of Morecambe inspired artworks:
The bay has been a source of much inspiration and restorative to so many, especially over the lockdown period. I love to capture the effects of sunlight on the seascape, the atmospheric shifts in mood. A good friend once termed the view as "Balm for the soul" It is exactly that.

The Lightbulb Moments exhibition is still on at More Music - it's is a phone photography project focused on creativity as a tool for wellbeing. Working with young people from Our Lady’s Catholic College, Lancaster, the project was produced and delivered by photographer Ginny Koppenhol. Young people learnt phone photography skills and creative techniques, which they took away to create daily images that favour the positive, joyful, exciting, poignant or peaceful moments.

If you’re a local performer, there will be  a busking area for artists to book a slot. You may wish to sing, play an instrument, read poetry, paint a picture or entertain us in your own unique way!
More Music will be holding their annual ‘That Spring Thing’ event, that will run at the same time as the market on Devonshire Road, so lots of great activities for the whole family!
