On March 25th, KTRS was a part of Soccer History in St. Louis. The broadcast was the First Ever MLS NEXT PRO match in League history. More importantly, the game kicked off competitive play for St. Louis CITY SC and was the first win for CITY 2. 

CITY 2 won the game at Hermann Stadium on the campus of SLU 2-0. A goal from Carbondale Illinois native Wan Kuzain and a Penalty converted by Vitor Diaz sealed the win for St. Louis over
Rochester NYFC. 

CITY 2 will effectively be the minor league affiliate for the new MLS team. MLS NEXT PRO is a new league in the third tier of pro Soccer in the United States. Comprised of 20 MLS affiliated "2" sides and the independent team from Rochester New York. CITY 2 next plays April 10th vs Tacoma Defiance, the affiliate of Seattle Sounders FC. 

The first team MLS squad for CITY will begin play in Major League Soccer in March of 2023 at Centene Stadium across from Union Station.
