CALENDAR FOR 22-23 ADJUSTED FOR CAPITAL CAMPAIGN CONSTRUCTION THIS SUMMER

Due to the success of the Knight Vision 2.0 capital campaign and the construction projects planned for this summer, next year’s calendar will look a little different from this year.  To ensure that the construction projects are completed before students return to campus, we have moved next fall’s student orientation and the first day of school back one week (August 29th & 30th).

You will find a detailed overview of the 2022-2023 academic year and a brief calendar at this link. Dominican expects to return to our normal school calendar and August start dates in future years.

KNIGHTS IN SHINING ARMOR RECIPIENTS

The Knights in Shining Armor Award recipients, chosen by the faculty and staff, are students who exemplify Dominican’s five core values of truth, compassion, justice, community and partnership in the classroom. Students selected for these monthly awards have gone above and beyond expectations in a particular class through their participation, hard work and effort. Congratulations to our Knights in Shining Armor recipients for March!

THEATRE & ARTS

FOURTH ANNUAL NAHS MEMBER'S CELEBRATION KNIGHT - A SUCCESS!

Dominican’s National Art Honor Society celebrated their fourth annual NAHS Member’s Celebration Knight on Friday, March 18th! NAHS students, friends, and family gathered to celebrate Dominican’s most dedicated art students with a showcase of their artwork and a variety of art-making activities. NAHS welcomed three local Milwaukee artists to present – Anika Kowalik, Ariana Vaeth, and LaNia Sproles. Two of these young professional artists were in NAHS during their high school years, and all three artists spoke to how they found their own path through art, how they currently practice their craft, and how they get involved in the community through art.

NAHS is planning a field trip this spring to go see these artists’ works at the Madison Museum of Contemporary Art for their upcoming exhibition, “Ain’t I A Woman.” To end the celebration, our student officers reflected on their experience as leaders of NAHS, congratulating all members on their service and dedication to art. Students received member certificates and goodie bags, including gifts generously donated by BLICK Art Materials in Milwaukee.

Thank you to all friends and family that came out to support and partake in our celebration! You can see more photos from the event here.
