Your invitation to Sustainers Fest, 24 May 2022 2pm - 4pm
Inspiring student changemakers and Camden's future climate ambassadors to help tackle the climate crisis!
Camden Council and Think & Do Camden are inviting secondary school students from all year groups to attend Sustainers Fest 2022. An educational and interactive afternoon event with 5 key aims:
to inspire students to develop sustainability projects at their school
to barrier bust challenges to climate action
to advocate for climate action to be embedded within schools
to help students become climate ambassadors and enchant the disenchanted
to form an eco-system with students from other schools and cross pollinate ideas!
Up to 8 students from your school will have the opportunity to attend and take part in a world café session to discuss themes aligned to the Camden School Climate Charter, as well as consider what a career in sustainability might look like. By the end of the event students will be equipped to take their insights back to their school - which could take the form of a school climate assembly involving all year groups, a presentation of ideas to their year group, the creation of a student sustainability group - or however your school would benefit the most from learning about the session and delivering climate action!
We are encouraging students to attend from schools who have signed the Camden School Climate Charter, as well as those schools that haven't yet taken this step. We want to empower your students to create and deliver their own climate action projects, so that one day all Camden schools will have signed the charter and be a part of Camden's growing ecosystem of climate-friendly schools! Mobilising students in this way will help schools to deliver on their charter commitments whilst making climate action fun and engaging. If you haven't already, you can sign the charter here.
