NEWS AND EVENTS

Starbucks comes to Lindfield

We are pleased to announce that the Starbucks chain will be arriving in Lindfield next week. As part of our Aspire project, an agreement has been reached to lease the historic Tiger building to the American coffee shop chain.
“We are thrilled to be coming to Lindfield. And just like our coffee, our partnership with the Tiger is the perfect blend of old and new,” said the franchise's manager Ali Profols.

Seasons of Change: Carol’s story

This month we bring you a new contribution to our Seasons of Change series. Carol is married to Robin, and they have three grown up boys. Having recently retired from a teaching career, she’s been reflecting on the changes she’s experienced and the things God has been teaching her. Do read it, even if it is a long time until you can think about retiring or it is a long time since! Or why not send it to someone to whom it might be relevant. One of the purposes of this series is to help the Body of Christ understand and love one another better through different seasons. You can find it by following this link:

Malcolm Springall

The church family will have been saddened to hear about the unexpected passing of Malcolm Springall on Thursday 24 March. Malcolm was a gentle, godly family man, who had served in various ways during his more than 50 years as a member of All Saints, not least in looking after the church’s finances for many years, where his eye for detail was hugely appreciated. Malcolm has also served alongside Pauline on the sidespersons team for many years and in their younger years had served very faithfully as leaders of the younger age group in Sunday School. We grieve with his family, but rejoice that Malcolm is now with his Lord and Saviour, whom he served. Please do be praying for his wife Pauline and daughters Helen and Julie, son-in-law and three granddaughters and wider family at this time. Funeral details to be advised.

Thank you men!

A huge well done and thank you to the 12 brave men who worked with such good humour and focus on the unfamiliar task of making flower posies last Saturday. A warm thank you too to all those who donated and delivered flowers and greenery for the Mothering Sunday posies. Thank you Rosemary, for your backup, and to Herta for use of all your baskets! Carrie Britten

Prayer for our community and nation

Please join us on Saturday mornings, 8.45am to 9.30am at Lindfield Evangelical Church.

Praying for the church family

Please continue to hold in your prayers those known to you who may be especially in need of God's comfort at this time and especially for:

Lu and Roger Seymour
Please continue to pray for Lu's rehabilitation

Al and Sarah Paxton
The results of Al’s scan recently were encouraging and showed an improvement in his heart’s function. He will have another scan in six months to see if it has improved further. Please continue to pray for Al.

Mayvor Osgood
Please give great thanks to God that Mayvor's consultant has said there was ‘no further cancer noted’ on her last scan, and she should only need regular check-ups going forward.  She has greatly appreciated the prayer support of All Saints and is very much looking forward to being in Lindfield towards the end of May.

Chris Sexton
Though there has been some marginal improvement in Chris' condition, he is still very weak, so please continue to pray for Chris and his family.
