  • In March, Lincoln Trail ADD staff along with local economic development leaders from across our region presented Lincoln Trail’s top industrial sites to Governor Andy Beshear and the Kentucky Cabinet for Economic Development. We look forward to our continued partnership with our state partners and regional economic development leaders.

  • Lt Governor Jacqueline Coleman visited the Lincoln Trail counties of Breckinridge, Grayson, and Meade to award local  projects through the Cleaner Water Program. Click HERE for the official press release. 
     
  • For the first time in 20 years, the Knob Creek Tavern Visitor Center will open on April 2nd at the Kentucky Boyhood Home Unit, part of the Abraham Lincoln Birthplace National Historical Park in Hodgenville, LaRue County. Click HERE for more details.

GRANT OPPORTUNITIES
Deadline to submit the Mitigation Action Form for Post Disaster Hazard Mitigation Funding is April 15, 2022. Contact Mr. John David May for details. 
Recreational Trails Program (RTP) and Land & Water Conservation Fund (LWCF)

The Department for Local Government (DLG) is currently accepting applications for funding cycle 2022 for the Recreational Trails Program (RTP) and the Land & Water Conservation Fund (LWCF). Both programs have a minimum of $25,000 and a maximum of $250,000 for projects.

The RTP grant can assist in acquisition of easements, development and/or maintenance of recreational trails and trailhead facilities for both motorized and non-motorized use. The grant requires the applicant to provide a 20% match at minimum and funded through the Federal Highway Administration. This is a Federally funded, matching reimbursement grant program. The deadline to submit applications to DLG is MAY 31, 2022. Click HERE to learn more about the RTP program.

The LWCF program provides federal grant funds to protect important natural areas, acquire land for outdoor recreation and to develop or renovate public outdoor recreation facilities. Examples of public outdoor facilities include campgrounds, picnic areas, sports & playfields, swimming facilities, boating facilities, fishing facilities, trails, natural areas and passive parks. The grant requires a 50/50 match and funded through the National Park Service. It is a matching reimbursement program. The deadline to submit applications to DLG is May 31, 2022. The Department for Local Government (DLG) announced the 2022 application cycle for the Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) program is now open. The grant period for Community Projects and Public Facilities projects will be April 1, 2022 - September 1, 2022. Applications for Economic Development, Housing, CERF,  and Public Services will be April 1, 2022 - January 31, 2023. Click HERE to learn more.
