Spring has arrived. The neighborhood is looking greener and people are outside more. Arnold Creek Neighborhood Association continues to advocate for pedestrian safety and neighborhood livability. Below are opportunities to learn about plants and creatures native to the neighborhood.

Trillium Festival

After a two-year hiatus, Friends of Tryon Creek is hosting a Trillium Festival at Tryon Creek State Natural Area. Plant sale, education stations and guided hikes.

Let’s Talk About Turtles in Tryon 🐢
Tuesday, April 12, 12:00 - 1:00 pm

Tryon Creek Watershed Council is hosting Laura Guderyahn (currently a PhD student at Portland State University and Member of the Northwest Ecological Research Institute), to talk about native turtles in Oregon, where she is finding turtles in the Tryon Creek watershed, and what you can do right now to help native turtles.

Tryon Life Community Farm is fully re-opening the land to the public for drop-in visits, and scheduling groups for hosted events and hosting outdoor pre-school and summer camp for the Willow Creek Forest School. There's also a rumor of new baby goats on the farm!

Mushroom Cultivation Workshop
April 9, 10:00 am - noon and 1:00 - 3:30 pm
