Thank you to all of you who came out to Looney's in Maple Lawn for our recruiting event. We have a lot of new committees and volunteers but still need more! If you couldn’t make it, please check out positions that are still open here: https://rhsboosters.com/get-involved/.
Spring sports are well underway and it looks like it's going to be an exciting season.
A couple of notable recent achievements by Reservoir athletes worth a mention:
Senior indoor track athlete Jalen Booth-Mitchell set TWO school records at the MPSSAA State Championships where he finished 2nd in the state in the 55m dash, one school record in the 55M and another in the 300M. In addition, Howard County Executive Calvin Ball recently recognized our indoor track team: “Our gallant Gators continue to excel and impress, such as this indoor track group at Reservoir High School. Jalen Booth-Mitchell, Jamie Adams, Mecca Jackson, Sophie Davidson, and Katelyn Herberholz now have their names etched in the swamp by setting five new school records. I couldn’t be more thrilled with all they have accomplished, and I’m certain they will continue to break more records in the future.”
Our wrestling team also placed top in the state at the MPSSAA State Championship! Seniors Dylan Wiegert and Delaney Kilcarr took 5th and 6th place respectively, and freshman Andrew Dolezel took 3rd place.
Congratulations Gators!
Please join us for the next Boosters meeting on April 4th at 7:00pm. We meet at the school, in the staff lounge next to the cafeteria, and all are welcome. See the website for more details and future schedule. https://rhsboosters.com/about-us/

Gator Spotlight
Varsity Baseball
We are really excited about this season. Between the returning players, new additions and all the hard work they put in preparing this spring, these amazing young men are ready!
Senior, Ben Davis returns as our catcher. Ben was first team All-County last year, was named to the 2022 Preseason All State and will play at McDaniel College next year.
Junior, Quinn Dean returns as our shortstop, and we expect a big year out of him.
Senior, Jordan Peguese, UMBC commit is part of a talented core of pitchers who should keep us in every game this year.
I am so proud of all the players. They are an amazing group of young men and should be exciting to watch.
~ Coach Adam Leader
Girls Varsity Lacrosse
This is an exciting year for Reservoir girls lacrosse as we look to build consistency and growth in our first full season of high school lacrosse since 2019! The first half of the season is filled with many challenging opportunities to improve and as we move toward the MPSSAA playoffs, we strive to be playing at a high level in all phases of the game.
This year we have a wonderful team, and we expect everyone to contribute to our success. The coaching staff is especially excited about our group of 4 seniors who will be finishing up their excellent careers at Reservoir. Kat Thayer, Midfield/Attack is very dynamic and has wonderful stick skills. Jackie Rowell, Midfield, has improved so much over her career as a defender and has one of the best/most accurate shots on the team. Karla Carranza, Goalie, has great positioning and awareness and recently had 12 saves against high powered Glenelg High School. Ria Patel, Defender, has shown outstanding awareness and defensive integrity in her positioning and communication to help lead the defense.

Choir, Orchestra and Band
The Choir and Orchestra spring concerts are May 6 th in the auditorium. The choir performances will begin at 6pm and orchestra at 8pm. Since we had to cancel our pops concert, this will be our first school performances since December! The choirs are performing a wide variety of music: "Stand Up" from the movie, Harriet, a sea shanty, a couple spirituals, a song inspired by an Indian raga, "Gee, Officer Krupke" from West Side Story, "Bella's Finals" from the movie Pitch Perfect, and "Baba Yetu" from the video game, Civilization IV, which will be accompanied by the RHS orchestra. Concert Choir and Chamber Choir will be joined by our Treble Choir and Tenor-Bass choirs, who will have their first performances since February 2020.
The Band spring concert is Wednesday, April 27th at 7pm.
