We are glad to see that as a Westminsterian you continue to be a member of The Westminster Society. We value the support of our members, enjoy the opportunity to connect and catch up, and promoting the spirit and ethos of Westminster!
We are writing to make you aware of some changes that may have passed you by.
We hope you continue to enjoy receiving copies of The Westminsterian magazine each year.
We also email monthly newsletters to members, run the Society website, organise an annual reunion at Oxford, and support local activities in several areas of Britain.
As you probably know, all this is done by volunteers and we value your support through the payment of your annual subscription.
So what do we need from you? Well did you know that the Society’s Bank has changed, and that the Standing Order is now £10?
We moved bank three months ago because HSBC were starting to charge us for that account. We decided that was not a good use of the Society’s money, and moved to Natwest who do not charge us for the account.
Also, your current Standing Order is for £4, but as agreed at the AGM, the Society's subscription has increased to £10, in order to adequately support the Society’s activities outlined above.
So can we ask you to please:
End your existing standing order with HSBC.
Create a new standing order payable to our Natwest account:
Account name: The Westminster Society
Sort code: 01-01-23 Account number: 1608 1269
Reference: Your surname, initials and dates (e.g. CLARK,JA 78-82) so we can link your payment to your alumni record.
(Please take care to tick the box for Yearly rather than Monthly.)
• the date you set up the standing order
• your unique reference (your surname, initials and dates)
• the address to which you would like the magazine to be sent
• a phone number in case there is any query.
As we have your email address, we will continue to email newsletters to you.
My apologies for any inconvenience this change causes. I am keen that the Society keeps in touch with all its members and continues to ‘spread the renown' of Westminster College through all the Society’s activities.
