Have you met Esther?

She’s one of many pump mechanics working to end ten million wasted journeys in 2022.

Esther began her journey in 2021, at 33 years old, and has since built up a robust business, carrying out freelance repair work on community pumps, and entering into ongoing service contracts with the local authorities.

As you can see, she’s pretty happy about it!

Esther is one of 92 established pump mechanics trained by Pump Aid. These amazing individuals are ending wasted journeys for women and girls, one pump at a time.
