Latest COVID-19 vaccination provider bulletin from Australian Government
The Australian Government issued its latest bulletin to COVID-19 vaccination providers on Wednesday 20 April, including information about Novavax (Nuvaxovid) vaccine expiry date changes, stock management, and co-administration of COVID-19 and influenza vaccines.
Influenza Immunisation Pathway recently reviewed

Annual influenza vaccination is the most important measure to prevent influenza and its complications.

In preparation, the Tasmanian HealthPathways team has reviewed the Influenza Immunisation Pathway, which includes information about how the influenza season may be considered in the context of the COVID-19 pandemic.

All Tasmanian health professionals can access Tasmanian HealthPathways with the username connectingcare and password health.

Australian Primary Care Nurses Association national roadshow in Hobart

The Australian Primary Care Nurses Association will hold the Tasmanian leg of its national conference on Friday 24 and Saturday 25 June in Hobart.

The conference provides an opportunity for nurses to access education and peer networking. To access the program and register, please click here.

Family violence awareness training for primary care nurses

The Australian Primary Health Care Nurses Association has developed a new self-paced training opportunity to assist primary care nurses in creating a safe and supportive environment for victim survivors to ask for and receive support from nurses.

The training is free for members, and $57.75 for non-members.

Hobart Early Career Health Professionals Network meet and greet

The Hobart Early Career Professionals Network welcomes early career allied health professionals to an in-person meet and greet at 6.00pm on Friday 29 April.

Second webinar in diabetes education series

The diabetes suite of Tasmanian HealthPathways has recently been reviewed and updated.

To support awareness of the updates, Primary Health Tasmania is offering a three-part webinar series, the second of which will take place from 6.30pm to 8.00pm on Wednesday 4 May and focus on medical management of hyperglycaemia and cardiovascular risk factors.

Endometriosis and adenomyosis unlocked symposium

The Department of Obstetrics and Gynaecology at Monash University and the World Endometriosis Society will host a hybrid symposium on endometriosis and adenomyosis on Friday 27 May and Saturday 28. 

The event will be held online and in Melbourne, with early bird registration starting at $330.
