Call for contributions: ACGR Graduate Research Impact Blog

Dear ACGR members and subscribers,

The ACGR’s Graduate Research Impact Blog is a digital platform for knowledge exchange between academics, graduate researchers and all their stakeholders. It aims to provide a forum to comment on current issues and advances in graduate research. It also looks to engage with public and private sector stakeholders in discussions about the value that graduate researchers bring to a knowledge-based economy. We aim to promote the ACGR and the role it plays in advocating for and supporting quality graduate research education. However, we are also happy to shine a light on any issues that might need addressing.

Call for contributions

We are currently calling for contributions from member representatives, individuals and organisations to showcase different perspectives. Specifically, we are looking for:
  • Thought pieces and provocations on the value and impact of graduate research
  • Best practice examples, be that innovative graduate research programs or initiatives
  • Graduate researcher profiles and examples of impactful research
  • Examples showcasing where the production of new knowledge has created or generated positive benefits and impact for the academy and/or the community
  • Examples of significant contributions from graduate research (and researchers) to institutional, national and international research outputs
Submissions can be authored by individuals or developed in consultation with the ACGR communications team.

We will accept original articles, case studies, opinion pieces, personal stories, or summaries of research findings. Pieces should be ~1000 words in length, with hyperlinks to relevant information, and can include videos and other media. The reading time should be ~5 minutes. Additional information about our submission process, including FAQs, can be viewed on the contributions page.

To discuss or nominate a potential contribution please contact the ACGR Digital Communications and Member Engagement Coordinator, Rees Quilford, via email on impact@acgr.edu.au.

Proposed contributions can also be submitted to impact@acgr.edu.au in MS Word format. Submissions that fit with our submission guidelines would then be assessed for their suitability.

Best regards,

Rees Quilford
