Fresh off last month's de-cluttering success, we've invited wellness coach Andrea Jones back for round two. Hopefully, her advice will set you up for a successful second half of 2022!

Recent Celebrations - Doug Arrowsmith's 100th Birthday

The Cambridge Library Local Studies Team celebrated Doug Arrowsmith’s 100th birthday with an ANZAC morning tea on Thursday, 21st April.
Doug came to Western Australia at the age of 17 in 1939 to take up the offer of a job in the Bank of New South Wales.
Doug joined the RAAF in WWII as a bomber pilot, and flew in the most distinguished heavy bomber unit, the No.460 Squadron. He flew 35 Operational Sorties over Germany, for which he was awarded the Distinguished Flying Cross by King George VI.
Doug has also been awarded the Legion of Honour medal, France’s highest Civic Honour for Courage, an OAM in 2007 for his service to veterans and their families through the RSL, an Australian Sports Medal Award in 2000 for his contribution to lawn bowls and the Premier’s Australia Day Active Citizenship Award in 2004.
We’re proud to celebrate such a distinguished member of the local community.
Happy 100th Birthday Doug!
