North Dakota Heritage Center & State Museum Extends Hours for Visitors
BISMARCK, N.D. – Beginning Monday, May 2, the North Dakota Heritage Center & State Museum will resume regular hours, Monday-Friday, 8 a.m.-5 p.m., and Saturday-Sunday, 10 a.m.-5 p.m. Hours had been shortened during the COVID-19 pandemic. Visitor hours for the State Archives, located in the building, will be Monday-Friday, 8 a.m.-4:30 p.m., and the second Saturday of each month, 10 a.m.-4:30 p.m.
At the State Museum explore exhibitions highlighting the state’s history including "Fashion and Function: North Dakota Style," the popular temporary exhibit of the State Historical Society’s clothing collection showcasing the role of clothing in shaping the state. The newest temporary exhibit, "All is Grass and Clouds, Forever," features the artwork of award-winning writer and illustrator S.D. Nelson and includes vignettes from the production of several of his children's books as well as traditional objects.
