York Centre News 

You are invited to York Centre's Environment Days

Thank you to everyone who came to our Environment Day event last Sunday! Your participation directly reduces the number of items ending up in landfills!

If you missed our last Environment Day, do not worry! We have another one coming on June 19!  Be sure to RSVP! You can bring electronics, hazardous waste and goods for safe disposal and donation, and pick up FREE compost*. Thank you to everyone who came out to Esther Shiner Stadium for our first event!

Metrolinx announced that the GO Expansion program is moving forward to the next stage of development. This includes the electrification of the system to allow for faster and more frequent trains along the Barrie Line!

Did you know that fat, oil and grease as well as household hazardous waste such as motor oil and solvents can damage sewer pipes when flushed down the toilet? Safely dispose of these items using your Green Bin, one of the city's Drop-off Depots or at our next Environment Day Event on June 19 at Downsview Park!
