A Word from Pastor Dave

"As the Father has loved me, so have I loved you. Now remain in my love."

For the next couple of weeks we will set up camp in this sentence. There is so much richness in this verse. What does Jesus mean when He says, "As the Father has loved me?"

The key to understanding how Jesus loved the disciples and us is to understand how the Father has loved Jesus. Exactly how much does God love His son? And how long has the Father loved His son? Would you spend some time this week reflecting on the Father's love for His son? Imagine the Father and the Son loving one another for all of eternity. Reflect on the character of God and the nature of love. The more we discern that relationship, the more we will be able to understand how much love Jesus has for us. What a beautifully intimate gospel we have received. May it cause us to never want to leave this eternal, infinite, personal, unconditional love!

Would you join us in praying for all of the more than 400 people who joined us in worship this past Sunday? Please pray that everyone who walked into our building would experience the abundant life of walking with Jesus. And let's also celebrate with God over the baptisms and raised hands in response to the gospel invitation. Let's pray that God would watch over all of them, and draw them closer to His heart.

Child Dedication Service
Have you had a baby in the last year or two? Do you have a child that you would like to dedicate to God? If so, it is time to start thinking about baby dedication, (now called child dedication). Child dedications will happen on Sunday, May 8th, Mother's Day. At Fellowship, we joyfully recognize that every child is given to us from God, and we want to give them back to God. This is an opportunity for families to dedicate their children to the Lord like Hannah did in 1 Samuel 1:28 and Mary did in Luke 2:22. Parents, this is your opportunity to publicly commit yourselves to the discipleship of your children. Church, this is our opportunity to commit ourselves to these parents, to support them in their God-given task. It is our opportunity to pray together that these children will come to believe in and walk with Jesus. Parents, you can sign up your family here: Child Dedication Sign-Up
