BISMARCK, N.D. – "Interpreting Agriculture," a hands-on workshop, will be held at the North Dakota Heritage Center & State Museum on Saturday, May 7, from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Staff and volunteers from museums and historic sites across North Dakota are invited to join State Historical Society of North Dakota education staff for a day of program development inspired by the State Historical Society's extensive collection of agriculture documents and objects.
This workshop explores the role of agriculture in our culture, society, economy, and history. Participants will learn easy-to-apply methods for building interactive and hands-on experiences for ag-focused programming. The next workshop, "Interpreting Fashion," will be held on Saturday, May 21. Registration for both is open at
shsnd.eventbrite.com.
This program is the part of a series of workshops being held to prepare volunteers for the upcoming field trip season this spring and programs being offered throughout the summer. Volunteers bring history to life for visitors. Learn about our volunteer program at
