When It Rains, Storm Water Drains

Storm water drains safely collect runoff rain water so it does not flood the neighborhood, and some of South End's storm water drains need replacing. Starting on May 2, the section of West Tremont Ave. in front of Atherton Mill (where the Fairy Ring lights are located) will be closed for at least three weeks as Charlotte-Mecklenburg Storm Water Services replaces the drain. All walkways, including the Rail Trail, will remain open to pedestrians.
