They raised the roof with songs of praise! Half Pints, kids age three thru Kindergarten, and New Kingdom Singers, grades 1-5, lead worship this past Sunday at the OP Campus. This was the culmination of another year of singing, learning about the Bible, and demonstrating how students can use their talents to share the good news of Jesus! Kids Choirs meet Wednesday nights and will resume in September. For more info, contact Glenn Menke, Kids Ministry Dir., gmenke@colonialkc.org. |

| Tulsa Bus TourKnown as ‘Black Wall Street’ in the early 20th century, Tulsa’s Greenwood District was home to one of the US’s most prominent concentrations of African-American businesses. The 1921 Tulsa Race Massacre changed that and the museum provides a captivating historical account of the events that occurred. This group traveled via bus for an over-night stay to visit and learn more. The event was planned by the Bootstraps Team who seek to increase racial awareness, understanding, and empathy within our congregation. “The death and resurrection of Jesus means ADOPTION into the family of God for all who repent and call upon the name of Jesus in faith…we become part of God’s household! Such is why Jesus now calls His Father “your Father,” and His God “your God.” What belongs to Jesus alone now belongs to His family…that’s us Church!” -Pastor Jim West |
