Politically speaking, California and Texas couldn’t be more different. Republicans control all levers of power at the executive and legislative levels in Texas, as do Democrats in California. Yet, these states on polar opposites of the political spectrum were bound together by experience through two catastrophic “blackouts” occurring less than six months apart during different seasons but plunging many into darkness.

(April 11, 2022) – Russia is putting on a brave face when it comes to Europe’s planned ban on coal imports, with Moscow saying it will simply sell to other markets.
By other markets, Russia most likely means Asia and Moscow is most likely being hopelessly optimistic if it thinks Asia is going to swing dramatically towards Russian coal and replace what’s lost in exports to Europe.

Energy Company Says It's Coming to Mason County

(April 13, 2022) – An Arizona-based company announced Friday that it will build a new facility in Mason County to produce a cleaner form of coal.
Frontieras North America, a subsidiary of Frontier Applied Sciences, said its first commercial plant using its patented FASFForm technology is expected to employ up to 500 people and process more than 2.7 million tons of coal annually.

We deploy a basin-wide airborne survey of O&G extraction and transportation activities in the New Mexico Permian Basin, spanning 35 923 km2, 26 292 active wells, and over 15 000 km of natural gas pipelines using an independently validated hyperspectral methane point source detection and quantification system.
