HTC is hoping to do a theatre tech/design one-week long summer camp for students and recent grads in early June, where students can learn the different elements of costumes, scenic/props, lighting and sound to culminate in a design presentation. Get your free ticket to André & Dorine  performing at the Theatre at St. Clement's.

Performed by the internationally-acclaimed Kulunka Teatro (which received the spanish equivalent of a Tony Award for Best Play in 2018), this non-verbal theatre piece uses movement, puppetry, and mask to celebrate the shared lives of a pair of artists - André with his typewriter, Dorine with her cello - and how they relive and reinvent their love together as Alzheimer's becomes a permanent part of their relationship.

Intern with One Whale's Tale this Summer
One Whale's Tale is offering internships for their summer production of Quince at the Bushwick Starr and Lincoln Center. Your internship will be paid through our department's Loewe Internship Award.Each student can receive $1000-$3000 in funding (or 50-150 hours at $20/hr). Please note you must be a theatre major or minor to qualify for The Loewe Internship Award.

Audition for NYU's New Plays for Young Audience Festival
New Plays for Young Audiences is holding auditions for its June 2022 series. The series will take place in the historic Provincetown Playhouse in the heart of Greenwich Village just a half block from Washington Square Park.

Each week of the series is devoted to a different script. Rehearsals during the week of development are 6-10 p.m., generally Sunday through Friday and on Saturday between 12-10pm. Each week culminates in one or two rehearsed readings, which are most likely on Saturday at 3 or 7:30 p.m. and Sunday at 3 p.m.

Auditions will be held on a rolling basis online between April 18-May 6, 2022. Actors will be asked to provide a link to a 1-3 minute recorded monologue, headshot, resume, and, if auditioning for the musical, to include singing several bars of a song that showcases their range with the monologue recording. Actors will receive a $250 stipend per script they are cast in. Actors may audition for one, two, or all three scripts. 

Please note that actors will need to follow NYU’s COVID-19 guidelines to participate.

Apply to the MTC 2022-23 Stage Management Fellowship
Manhattan Theatre Club (MTC), a Tony Award-winning nonprofit theatre is accepting applications for their Stage Management Fellowship for the 2022-2023 season.

The Stage Management Fellowship is an eight-month intensive professional development opportunity for early-career professionals with theatrical stage management experience and training. The Fellow will be supervised by MTC’s Production Management team, and primarily will serve as a Production Assistant on three productions during the 2022-23 season, two Broadway and one off-Broadway. The Fellow will support the stage management team from pre-production week through at least opening night. 

Full-time $600/week 
September 6, 2022- April 28, 2023

The application deadline is Friday, May 6, 2022. A complete application includes:
·         A personal statement no longer than 750 words that expresses why you are interested in this opportunity, what you hope to learn as a result of this experience, and how this fellowship can make you a more inclusive theatre practitioner
·         A résumé
·         Two letters of recommendation from theatre or arts professionals (one may be from a college faculty member)

Apply to the CUNY Cultural Corps
CUNY Cultural Corps is a career development program that places CUNY students in paid internships at cultural organizations throughout NYC. The program was started in collaboration with the NYC’s Department of Cultural Affairs as an effort to create more diversity and equity in NYC’s cultural sector.
 
After undergoing a matching process and receiving their placements, students work between 10-12 hours a week throughout the fall and spring semesters and are paid $15 an hour. In addition, students receive a series of career workshops meant to further their professional development in the field.
 
Partners from the 2021-22 cohort include the Metropolitan Museum of Art, HERE Arts Center and Flux Factory with positions ranging from Museum Interns to Finance Management Interns to Education Interns and more.
 
To be eligible to apply students must:
-Currently enrolled at any CUNY college, working towards a degree (Community College, Senior -College, or Graduate School)
-Be registered for at least 12 credits (for undergraduate freshman, sophomores, and juniors) or 6 credits (if you are a rising senior or graduate student) while enrolled in the program
-Graduate students are eligible for the program as long as they are enrolled in at least 1 course at a CUNY campus for both Fall & Spring.
-Have a cumulative Grade Point Average of at least 2.5
-Have earned at least 24 college credits by the end of summer 2022 (12 college credits for community college students)
-Have the proper work authorization required by the U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS)

About the Program:
-Season-long Apprenticeships run from September to June.
-Apprentices receive an hourly rate of $15.00 and are eligible for health benefits.
- A Cost of Living Scholarship is available to help offset the cost of housing and transportation for apprentices.
-Apprenticeships are available in the following administrative departments: Archives, Artistic, Audience Services, Development, Education, Finance, Human Resources, Marketing, Management, Sales & Analytics, and Special Events.

Additional opportunities for Apprentices include weekly career-building seminars, participation in the inter-department mentorship program, networking opportunities across the arts administration industry, and an invitation to participate in Roundabout identity-based affinity groups, volunteer opportunities and events.
