Holy Week
Often, the Christian celebration of Easter and the Jewish celebration of Passover happen in the same week. This year, that is the case. In addition, the Muslim Holy Month of Ramadan, which began on April 2, is ongoing. These celebrations have much in common, including the importance of family, community and peaceful service to one another and our world. Each of these also takes place at the start of Spring, as season of much joy and hope for what is to come.
No matter how your celebrate, it is my wish that you and your family will have a blessed and joyful Holy Week.
Please be reminded that the City of Toledo will be closed on Friday, April 15. Engage Toledo will remain available 24/7 at 419-936-2020 for any urgent service requests.
Have a great week, Toledo!

Visit with Daisy Girl Scout Troop #1313
I had a great time with Daisy Girl Scout Troop #1313 at One Government Center. I gave them a tour of my office and City Council Chambers where the girls voiced what they would do if they were in local government. They all seemed to enjoy meeting me and taking the tour, but Kid Mayor Evelyn Bush definitely stole the show! They followed her every movement and marveled at her Kid Mayor desk in my office.
