Reason to Celebrate

While it hasn’t been what one would call a “normal” year, we have returned to many of the normal rhythms of our department. It has taken a lot of hard work from our student-athletes, faculty and staff. Now it is time to celebrate! We have witnessed two classes of student-athletes participating in their first seasons of intercollegiate competition, personal records set, senior day celebrations, and many hours of training and games. The celebration will soon be capped by the excitement of Commencement weekend with families and friends joining graduates on campus.

Last month, we celebrated your support on Blue Nation Giving Day, as together we raised over $67,000 for our varsity and club programs. I can’t thank you enough for the generosity that helped make this year’s Giving Day our most successful yet. On Giving Day, we asked you to help us make 2022 the year for the Blue. While we are certainly celebrating the success of Giving Day, I hope that this year is just the first of many years worth celebrating.

As our teams close out the year and challenge for championships and our seniors compete for the final time this spring, please let them hear your support in the stands, on social media or wherever you might be. Let’s all celebrate everything Wellesley and our student-athletes have accomplished.

Go Blue!
