In 2021 Nicolas and his expedition partner, Guillaume Morceau successfully completed the longest- human-powered north-south crossing of Canada. Starting from the most northern island of the country (Ellesmere), they skied, canoed and cycled for 234 days to cross the 7600 km separating them from their goal, in the extreme South of Canada. This unique journey was punctuated by blizzards, polar bears, animal attacks, broken equipment, serious injuries, fear and doubt. Ultimately, AKOR contributed to three major scientific projects, produced rich storytelling opportunities and was profoundly transformative for the team.
Join us on Wednesday April 27, 2022 at 7pm for a thrilling virtual presentation by Nicolas where he will share stories and anecdotes about this extraordinary expedition.
