Small businesses in Wexford can now access innovation funding
A new Agile Innovation Fund from Enterprise Ireland which can give local companies rapid access to innovation funding has been introduced. Clients of Local Enterprise Office Wexford are welcome to apply. The Fund will allow companies, including small companies, to access up to 45% or 50% in support for product, process or service development projects with a total cost of up to €300,000.
Case Study
Wexford software development company New-Avenue (www.new-avenue.com) availed of funding to help the company innovate. Paul Zelderloo, founder of New Avenue said, “With the help from our Local Enterprise Office we were able to create Pivot Central, a new product to track staff attendance using NFC technology. The funding helped us to buy and test the technology needed and helped us to create a new service to bring to our customers. Because of the funding we were one of the first companies to sell this technology. This helped us to stay competitive and grow our business organically.”
