Throwback Thursday:
‘Lager Tree’.
Whilst dancing with members of Girlschool at the Hippodrome Rock night many moons ago I skidded on the floor and broke my ankle. I was too drunk to feel much pain and insisted it was just a sprain and carried on drinking….next morning when I tried to get out of bed it was obvious it was more serious than a sprain so off to A&E I hopped wearing only one trainer.
I remember that my hangover felt worse than having the leg set. Not one to let a little thing like a massive pot and a set of crutches get in the way of rehearsals and gigs, or nights out, I made a sort of ‘Lager Tree’ from my crutches and in the photo you will see that it’s ‘grown’ 2 cans of Stella. My lovely Battersea Torbie cat Gabby is also in the photo.
