Israelis restore Joseph’s Tomb following vandalism by Palestinian rioters
Jewish residents of Samaria have restored the damaged Tomb of Joseph after it was vandalised earlier this week by Palestinian rioters. It is seen by some Jews as the third holiest site in Judaism.
Shamefully, as the Jewish workers entered the site they were attacked by Palestinian rioters who threw rocks at the Israeli vehicles.

Hamas tells Palestinians to march upon Temple Mount and cause escalation ‘at any cost’
The Hamas terror group has told Palestinians to “go out in the hundreds of thousands” to pray at Al-Aqsa mosque on Friday in a deliberate intimidation of the Jewish people at the start of Passover, with the Gaza-based terror group vowing to stop Jewish activity at the Temple Mount in Jerusalem “at any cost”.
Meanwhile, Fatah in the West Bank also called for the Palestinian public to go to sensitive areas and “confront IDF forces and settlers throughout the West Bank.”

Holocaust memorial High Court ruling is a sad reflection of priorities
Government plans for a national Holocaust memorial outside the House of Parliament in Westminster have been blocked by a High Court judge after the London Historic Parks and Gardens Trust made a legal challenge.
“It feels like we are at a juncture in history…not forgetting lessons from the Holocaust will largely underpin our resolve for ‘never again’.
"The recent destruction of Holocaust memorials by Russian missiles in Ukraine should invoke us to want to protect them more. It is a sad state of affairs if we cannot agree to protect a memorial that hasn’t even yet been built.
"The national Holocaust memorial outside Parliament is not an inconvenience, it is an opportunity to leave an important legacy."

CUFI Prayer
Protection over Israel during Passover
Pray for Israel as the Jewish people celebrate Passover, beginning Friday evening. The country remains in a state of heightened alert following a series of terror attacks in recent weeks. Praise the Lord that this week, Israeli security forces foiled a major terror attack in Jerusalem, planned for the eve of Passover.
There have also been a handful of arrests made, including Hamas operatives living in the Palestinian territories. Undoubtedly, these arrests have prevented attacks. Thank the Lord for the IDF and other security personnel that have had the foresight and expertise to root out the threats. We prayed that this would happen, and we give thanks that wicked plans are being disrupted. But we must continue to pray. We are conscious of the continued threat towards Israel. Yet, we thank the Lord for the Jewish people's example of resilience and determination to live life to the fullest despite the atrocities Israel has encountered in the past month.
Israel's proactive steps in making a raft of arrests has not been received well by some Palestinian locals. Scenes of rock-throwing at IDF vehicles is a reminder of the violence Israeli soldiers experience to protect all people in the land. But it is also a reminder of how easy unrest can be sparked by simply trying to keep law and order. And the Palestinian propaganda machine is quick to capitalise on clashes that occur. Pray for wisdom for the IDF in these vital, yet sensitive operations.
Hamas has vowed for masses "to march and go out in the hundreds of thousands to hold Friday prayers at Al-Aqsa." This is a deliberate attempt to intimidate the Jewish people at the start of Passover. The terror group has vowed to stop Jewish activity at the Temple Mount "at any cost". Meanwhile, Fatah, the so-called moderate group that controls the West Bank, has called for the Palestinian public to go to sensitive areas and “confront IDF forces and settlers." Pray for Israel in light of these provocative statements. And pray for Palestinian Arabs, particularly those in the Muslim community, that there will be a strong "resistance" - not against Israel as Palestinian leaders wish for - but a "resistance" against the hate-filled lies, manipulation and demonic spirit that the Enemy is trying to use to cause division, violence and hurt between Jews and Arabs. In accordance with Scripture, we pray for the peace of Jerusalem.
Stand still and see
Passover is a good time to reflect on how God fulfilled His Word to the Jewish people in the land of Egypt. Exodus 14:12-13 says,
"And Moses said to the people, 'Do not be afraid. Stand still, and see the salvation of the Lord, which He will accomplish for you today. For the Egyptians whom you see today, you shall see again no more forever. The Lord will fight for you, and you shall hold your peace.”
These words of Moses were in response to a moment of tangible fear and terror that came upon children of Israel as they saw the Egyptians behind them. May these same words be of comfort to Israel at this time and for anyone joining us in this prayer who for any reason feels frightened: Be still. Look at the saving power of the Lord. The battle you face today, you will not see again. The Lord is on your side and will fight for you. And you will know His peace.
For Ukraine
On this same note, it is appropriate to pray for Ukraine. Let us not forget the plight of the Ukrainian people at this time. What the country is enduring is truly heartbreaking to see. Pray for peace in that land. Pray for wisdom for President Zelensky and all western leaders. Pray for the leaders of Finland and Sweden as they contemplate a correct response to what is facing their respective countries.
Praise the Lord for the accounts of human compassion and generosity that are being reported in response to the great need of so many suffering and displaced people. Continue to pray for every humanitarian aid effort, mission organisation and field hospital.
Praise the Lord for the thousands of Jewish people that have already arrived in Israel. Please continue to pray for CUFI's Refuge in Zion project.
Passover will be very different this year, both for those still in Ukraine and for those now in safety in Israel. Whatever their circumstances, we pray that every Jewish family and individual will be overwhelmingly blessed during this very special feast. In their observance, may they experience a deep connection with Jehovah and be renewed in their confidence in the God of Israel, who is faithful to His people and trustworthy in His promises.
For Arab Christians
Pray for Pastor Johnny Shahwan, an Evangelical Christian, who was arrested on 2nd March and his ministry, Beit Al-Liqa in Beit Jala, was shut down by the Palestinian Authority. The PA accused Shahwan of “promoting normalisation with the ‘Zionist entity [Israel]'” and for welcoming an “extremist Zionist settler” into his ministry’s building.
Pray about the religious freedom of Christians living in the Palestinian territories. The plight of these Arab Christians are often ignored by human rights organisations. Palestinian Arabs that come to faith in Jesus Christ after leaving Islam are at substantial risk. Also, Arabs living in the Palestinian territories, both Christians and Muslims, are at risk if expressing support for the State of Israel or even affiliating themselves with Israeli Jews.
Pray for Christians living in the Palestinian territories and indeed all areas of the world where following Jesus often comes at a cost.
To know Him and His resurrection power
As Christians, may we take the opportunity this weekend, as we remember Christ's death and resurrection, to thank Him for what was accomplished at Calvary and commit ourselves to follow Him, whatever the cost.
"Yet indeed I also count all things loss for the excellence of the knowledge of Christ Jesus my Lord, for whom I have suffered the loss of all things, and count them as rubbish, that I may gain Christ and be found in Him, not having my own righteousness, which is from the law, but that which is through faith in Christ, the righteousness which is from God by faith; that I may know Him and the power of His resurrection, and the fellowship of His sufferings, being conformed to His death"
Philippians 3:8-10
Thank you for joining us in prayer. Have a blessed Passover and Easter.
