Faculty Leadership Institute

Do you have a faculty member looking to take on leadership roles
and advance to the next stage in their career?

The Faculty Leadership Institute (FLI) is a program and space for faculty across our campus to work together to break down barriers and build community, collaboration, and connectedness across schools, programs, and departments. FLI offers each cohort the opportunity to engage in targeted discussions
with campus leaders on current campus issues and build leadership skills.

Apply HERE for the 2022-23 cohort. Deadline extended to April 29.
See additional information about applying and program details on the FLI website

ACUMent: Across CU Mentoring Center

Do you know a senior instructor, associate, or full professor who might be a great mentor and appreciate sharing your knowledge, empowering others, and making a difference? Do you have an instructor, assistant, or associate professor who might benefit from mentoring, encouragement, perspective, community, or connection?

Encourage them to sign up for one of our programs! After two successful years, our cross-campus faculty mentoring program is expanding to include two new programs. We connect pre-tenured faculty with more senior faculty outside of their department to complement the discipline-specific mentoring within departments, AND we connect mid-career associate professors with mentors. We also bring together folks who want to connect  with different groups such as those who identify as parents, women in leadership, Lab scientists, BIPOC, LGBTQIA+, going up for full, at a particular rank, or who want one-time expertise in a specific area such a publishing a book or obtaining grants. Faculty at all career stages can apply as either mentors or mentees in any of these three programs:

  • Peer Mentoring Circles (NEW): 5-7 faculty members provide a self-sustaining community around focused discussion and interests or a common career stage/experience.
  • Peer Coaching (NEW): 1-3 experts and many faculty interested in a particular subject/topic.
  • Mentor Matches: 1 mentor with 1-2 mentees outside their unit/department.

Apply for the 2022-23 cohort. Deadline extended to April 29.
See ACUMent Across CU Mentoring for additional information.
