CDC Extends Transportation Mask Mandate Until May 3

Due to the increasing spread of the omicron subvariant in the U.S. the CDC is extending its face mask requirement for public transit for another 15 days. That means travelers will still need to mask up in airports, planes, buses, and trains until May 3. The mask travel requirement had been set to expire this coming Monday. Continue to wear a face mask while traveling in Pitkin County, including riding RFTA buses, Snowmass Transit, and at the Pitkin County Airport.

CDPHE Introduces Interactive COVID-19 Vaccine Follow-up Dose Calculator

The state launched an interactive tool that provides Coloradans with an easy way to determine the number of COVID-19 vaccine doses that are recommended for them. This depends on multiple factors, including a person’s age, which vaccine they initially received, and whether they have immunocompromising conditions. Parents and guardians of children under the age of 18 can also use this tool to determine the recommended number of doses for their children. The tool is available in English and Spanish.
