Dear Friends and Fellow Republicans

The RNC Fights Back!

For years now, ever since the mid 2000's, the GOP has become little more than a punching bag for the Democrat Party and liberal interest groups. And far too many of us have been screaming from the rooftops in an effort to get the Party to listen. Well it took a long time, but the RNC did something right. And they're to be credited for it.

Earlier this week the Republican National Committee agreed to pull out of the Commission on Presidential Debates, something that had been long overdue. The Commission - a true Swamp Creature from the Black Lagoon, had become something of a crutch for the Democrat Party. The CPD allowed and literally sanctioned Candy Crowley to publicly refute Squish Mitt Romney when Romney rightly called out Obama on his lies.

The Commission in 2020 did not call for a debate schedule until weeks after early voting had started in many states. The CPD also allowed Chris Wallace - moderator of the 1st 2020 debate, to interject hisself in such a way that ended up throwing the 1st debate to Joe Biden. Wallace strutted around afterwards like a popinjay - literally preening and boasting about how he had thrown the debate for Biden.

Why we allow members of the media elite, who are the most distrusted persons in the USA (even worse than Biden and Pelosi) to "moderate" these debates is non sensical. And don't get me started on the "fairness" of the Townhall debates. Even Saturday Night Live made fun of the obvious biases in Townhall forums in 2004.

The 1996 Townhall forum between Bob Dole and Bill Clinton wasn't much better.

So let's be fair, when the GOP hierarchy does something right we need to credit them for it.

Biden's Approval Rating Reaches Historic Lows.

Mr. Biden has reached new lows in his approval rating. Quinnipiac - a left wing polling firm, now has Mr. Biden at a 35% approval level. A CNBC poll from this week shows Mr. Biden's approval rating at 38%. Quite frankly, I have to wonder about the sanity of anyone supporting Mr. Biden. He's given us record inflation, a new war in Ukraine, showed weakness in Afghanistan, our borders are being overrun, and he can hardly complete a sentence without making a gaffe.

GOP Leading the Way On Life!

Earlier this week, the GOP showed that we are the party of Life, Liberty, and Limited Government. Florida passed a bill banning abortion after the 15 week mark. The Ky State Legislature overrode a veto on another bill banning all abortions in the Bluegrass State. And Oklahoma Governor Stitt signed into law a bill which would ban nearly all abortions in the Sooner State.

Not to be outdone, Arizona Governor Ducey signed a bill similar to the Fl bill - again banning all abortions in Az after the 15 week mark.

A Thought on Elon Musk

As most of you are now aware, Tesla President Elon Musk earlier this week put in a bid to buy 100% of Twitter stock - giving a profit to all current shareholders of Twitter - and which would force Twitter to be the free public square that it is meant to be.

To watch Twitter employees have a meltdown now because they may no longer be able to ban or shadow ban us - is priceless. These cry baby leftists who have never had to interact with anyone who may disagree with their radical positions on most any issue - need a public kick in the you know where.

Let's hope that Elon Musk does what he has promised to do. Democracy and the 1st Amendment are messy things at times. It is often hard for us to watch some fool trash another person online. It is bothersome. I've been trashed by liberals and RINO's on too many occasions. But when it has occurred, I've always comforted myself in the fact that exercising free speech, no matter how vile and inane it can be sometimes, beats the alternative - which is living in a dictatorship - where only one group - the ruling class - has the right to free speech.

A Few Final Thoughts

Was at the Waynesboro GOP Meeting last night. Was great to see the good works coming out of there by the new Chair Dwight Williams and the Unit as a whole. The Waynesboro GOP is firing on all cylinders. They're in the middle of a candidate search for City Council and School Board. Herman Wells has done an amazing job with Election Integrity in Waynesboro, and is in the process of turning over their EI Committee to a worthy successor.

I cannot overemphasize this enough - that the issues which occur at the local level are as important if not more important than what goes in inside Washington DC or Richmond.

Local government affects our schools - our law enforcement, neighborhood livability, local businesses, the list goes on. I am begging each of you to get involved in your local GOP Committees, or get involved with the candidate of your choice. What good is it to take back Richmond and then lose our County/City/Town governments?

My friend and CD 6 Vice Chair - Ken Adams - does not get enough credit for the work he did in reforming the Waynesboro City GOP a few years back. Before Ken, the Waynesboro GOP was all but defunct. Ken turned it into a bright shining organization. Ken is also much more than a friend to me, he is one of my 3 mentors. I am glad that the Waynesboro GOP acknowledged his efforts last night.
