As has been the custom the last few years, on Lazarus Saturday, April 16, we will celebrate the Divine Liturgy commemorating the raising of Lazarus from the dead by Jesus Christ.
Following the Liturgy, we will have a light snack. Following that, we will get to work to prepare our temple and its grounds for Palm Sunday, Holy Week, and Pascha.
We will need to have all hands on deck. Our place of worship will only be as clean as we make it.
Please plan to dedicate as much time as you can on Lazarus Saturday to properly prepare our church for the Feast of feasts.
Our reformatted Church School now meets on Saturdays.
It is part of the Parish Education Day.
You may bring your child for a class or two, if you are not sure whether it'll work for you.
All adults are welcome to the adult classes, as we learn together to be the good stewards of the faith that has been handed down to us.
Join our online Book Study group, which meets every other week on Fridays at 8pm.
We are beginning to read a new book, "
The Religion of the Apostles" by Fr Stephen De Young.
This is one of the best sellers among Orthodox books at the moment. The book "presents the Orthodox Christian Church of today as a continuation of the religious life of the apostles, which in turn was a continuation of the life of the people of God since the beginning of creation."
We meet via Google Meet; therefore, reply to this email to get the meeting link.
Driving Teams
If you or someone you know need help getting to and from church on Sundays (or other days), please let Fr Aleksey know, or reply to this email.
If you would like to volunteer to drive someone to church on your way here, also tell Fr Aleksey.
War in Ukraine
As has been mentioned previously, after Vladimir Putin, and his supporters, unprovoked, wickedly and savagely attacked Ukraine, we, as Christians living in the USA, will do three specific things in response:

1. Pray - here is a link to
three Prayers for Peace.

2. Help - on the first page of our website -
www.singac.com - you will find information for ways you can help either financially or with items donated. The information will be periodically updated.

3. Do not talk politics (of any sort) in or around the church, at least until Pascha. Politics is an extremely divisive subject. It kills relationships faster than war. We need to root out things that kill. We've been doing a good job of this so far, please keep it up!
We now have an Orthodox Summer Camp Fund to help sponsor the children of our parish to attend an Orthodox Summer camp (or two). In Fall 2021, we dedicated our Charity Month to start this Fund. In Spring 2022, we plan to do one more Charity Month for the same purpose. And our children will also do a fundraiser around Pascha.

Parents, if you would like to send your child to an Orthodox Summer camp,
here is a list of most (if not all) Orthodox Summer camps in the US. Some camps, such as the popular Antiochian Village camp, has already opened registration process!

Other Orthodox Summer camps of note are:
Saint Andrew's Camp in upstate NY.
Saint Tikhon's Summer Camp in by St Tikhon's Monastery in PA - their in-person camp is back for 2022!
Camp Nazareth in Western PA.

A lot of these camps offer financial aid and scholarships, and now our parish will also be able to help you send your child to a Summer camp. Choose a camp that interests you (or ask Fr Aleksey for recommendations); and after you register, let Fr Aleksey know in order to receive financial aid from our Orthodox Summer Camp Fund.
If you are looking for everything in this world, what need is there for hope? What is hope? It is feeling confidence in things to come.
