Sharing from the heart

We wanted to share a little with you about what we are feeling, how God is preparing us, and how we are doing. We love you all and feel so blessed that you are part of our ministry and part of our lives!

Teddy desperately wanted to have a dinosaur tail, so Momma obliged!
Family Update
We have had a blast with the kids lately, as we are really trying to prioritize them. Teddy had fun this week playing with Dadda's drum sticks and learning about Easter. We are proud to say that when asked 'What is Easter' he yells back 'JESUS IS RISEN'
Emma Jane is sleeping a little better and gives us the biggest smiles! We feel so blessed by our giggly girl.

Vicki Lynn has been struggling with some postpartum depression and we would love your prayers in this. We believe that God has given us all that we need to live a life honoring to Him.
The Solomon Islands
Our hearts are looking forward to so much right now. We are excited to be with our new friends in our new job in our new home country. Sometimes it feels like we are starting all over again! It reminds me of when I was getting ready to go to college. A fresh start, new friends, adventures all around sound so exciting and idyllic.  The ramp up is beginning to feel similar too! Did I get the right SAT score, graduating high school, will I like my roommate, how does anyone pick a major, what do I buy and take?... I hope you can see some parallels! Except this time its Comps, Language School, Co-workers, assignments, and packing!  We are so excited for our new home and to be used by God, now the step is just having faith while we get there! Land of coconuts, fish and languages in abundance, we eagerly wait to come and Become Islanders.  May we be able to join you and say " I have become all things to all people so that by all possible means I might save some"
- Vicki Lynn
A word from Noah
I've been working on prayer as a discipline this year, as it's vital for spiritual growth. I've found I can't pray enough. Devoted prayer is quality time with God, of which I never have enough!
Prayer has huge impacts on my family's life, specifically in making it easier to trust Him together. One of the questions that I review with my accountability partner is, "How have you trusted God instead of your own understanding this week?" The principle comes from Proverbs 3:5-6, a favorite verse of mine. "Trust in the LORD with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding. In all your ways submit to Him, and he will make your paths straight."
I have found that turning to the Lord in prayer first is rewarding - whether for something big or small, present, future, or even dealing with regret. Whether you have any control over the matter or not, I can guarantee you this: the Lord God Almighty, who created heaven and earth, has the power to exercise total control over any situation. He wants you to turn to Him. Finally, I hope you join me in praying for wisdom, for the Lord is a generous God and is pleased when we seek wisdom, for it will help us to know His will (James 1:5 and Colossians 1:9).
"He determines the number of stars and calls them each by name; our Lord is great and mighty in power; his understanding has no limit!" Psalm 147:4-5
