I’d love to see you in class!

All About Angles is a planned improv technique-based workshop where I teach a set of rules for creating these improvisationally pieced units without any speciality ruler or tricky math. Learn how to quickly and easily utilize the same angle throughout an improv composition for a dynamic quilt.

Take a spin on the ubiquitous Log Cabin block. In this improv workshop, I will present a wide variety of options for playing with the traditional Log Cabin block. It’s a bit of a choose your own adventure for mixing and matching these options to create a truly unique log cabin block. Keep building to make it the size you’d like, or create a number of blocks to put together in your final composition.

Happy quilting,

On My Design Wall

This past week I presented at the Southern California Council of Quilt Guilds and Northern California Quilt Council Meet the Teachers events. So my design wall is currently setup to be my Zoom backdrop showing a variety of quilts featuring the type of work I speak about and teach.

Thanks to everyone who attended these Meet the Teachers events as guild program chairs and reps. For those of you who are unfamiliar with the events, they are a bit like speed dating for quilt teachers where guild representatives get to hear from a group of teachers in one meeting.

If you missed these events, you can hear a little about what I offer here and see all my lecture and workshop descriptions on my teaching page.

On-Demand Workshop: Creating a Scrappy Slab

My first On-Demand Workshop is now open for individuals! Creating a Scrappy Slab includes all my tips and tricks for creating fabric from your scraps of any size. The course is a combination of videos and photo tutorials.

The beauty of an on demand class is that you can do it on your timeline, in the comfort of your own home. Want to take the course with friends? Each of you register individually, then you can work together on Zoom or in person.
