Covid-19 Testing After Easter Break

Remember, as Dr. Ranit Mishori said in her April 6 email to the Georgetown Community, all undergraduate students will need to take a PCR test after Easter break the week of April 18, unless they have tested positive within the previous 90 days.

Schedule your test in advance via the One Medical App or website.

Thank you for testing and doing your part to help keep our community safe.
A Reminder: Georgetown University's Noise Policy for Off-Campus Students

With the warmer weather just around the corner, please remember - Georgetown University's noise policy off-campus is not time restrictive.  The policy states, "Excessive sound, which infringes upon the community’s right to reasonable peace and quiet is prohibited at all times. For off-campus incidents, if sound can be heard beyond a property line, it is probably too noisy and disturbing to the community, depending on the time and nature of the activity generating the sound." More information about GU's noise policy can be found in pages 15 - 16 in the Hoya Neighborhood Living Guide

Thanks for being mindful of how your noise levels impact your community.

The Office of Sustainability will be hiring 2 to 3 students to serve as Move Out Drive Leads for the 2022  Move Out Drive (May 9 - 23) as well as related lead-up and close-out work. The position is in-person, full time for the three weeks of the drive and ideally one week prior (May 2 - May 23) as well as 10-20 hours in the weeks leading up to the drive. Please apply through the Student Employment Office (Job ID #29100)

About the position
The annual Move Out Drive is Georgetown’s end-of-the-school-year contribution to our community and the environment, inviting members of our campus community to "re-purpose their packing" at the end of the semester by donating gently used household items to local charities. In 2018, Move Out Drive volunteers collected over 55,000 lbs of donated materials, worth $186,000, for dozens of local charity organizations, and kept this material out of landfills.

Move Out Drive Leads are highly-organized and self-directed individuals, passionate about sustainability and social justice, who will will oversee the smooth and successful operation of the month-long Move Out Drive in May. Working with staff from the Office of Sustainability, Office of Neighborhood Life, and KEYS for the Homeless, MOD Leads will be responsible for assisting with the planning and marketing of the Drive, training and managing 20 Move Out Drive volunteers, overseeing the day-to-day Drive logistics (including volunteer communication, donation center re-supply, charity donation pickups), and managing donation centers as needed.
