Big News: Toronto Fringe is back in-Person, and Next Stage is moving to Fall

In case you missed our updates over the last few weeks, we've got a lot in the works.

We officially announced the return of the in-person Toronto Fringe Festival, July 6-17, 2022. This includes a thrilling reunion with old Fringe Friend and Icon, The Tranzac Club for our POSTSCRIPT Patio. We will also host a POSTSCRIPT Lounge further East in the CSI Livingroom at Daniels Spectrum.

We also announced last week that The 2023 Next Stage Theatre Festival will be moving to October 2023, at Daniels Spectrum. Applications will open later this week.

Visit our website for more details on all the growth happening.

TENT Applications NOW OPEN

For Fringers who aren't familiar, TENT (Theatre Entrepreneurs’ Network and Training) was created in 2014 by The Toronto Fringe Festival to address a growing need in theatre training: how to actually make theatre happen.

TENT invests in the future of arts and culture in Toronto by creating, training, and cultivating community. We equip emerging artists with the skills and human connections to empower them to create meaningful art from informed perspectives, and on their own terms. Participating in TENT will connect you to your peers, deepen your relationship to your work, support you want to build, and your understanding of existing systems.

TENT is for Greater Toronto Area-based theatre artists age 21-35 years old who are early-career producers, artist-producers, and aspiring arts leaders (with some producing experience).

All the details can be found here.

Calling all Production Freelancers

With The Fringe back in-person this year, many productions are (or will be!) looking for production support. If you would like to add yourself to the board to be potentially connected with productions on the lookout, just click this link, or help the artists by sharing it with anyone you know who might be a good fit!

In the community

Alumnae Theatre's New Ideas Festival just launched and continues through to June 19. Click here to find all the details about the workshops, performances, talks, and master classes they will share throughout this time.
Thanks, and hope to connect again soon.
