GOPAC Chair Attends Third Conference of the Arab Anti-Corruption and Integrity Network

GOPAC Chair, Dr. Naser Al Sane, participated in the Third Conference of the Arab Anti-Corruption and Integrity Network in Fes, Morocco December 19-21, 2011. This year’s theme was Societal Participation in Anti-Corruption and Prospects for Enhancing Related Mechanisms in Arab Countries. The conference provided a unique opportunity for an open debate on the role of civil society in anti-corruption efforts and the mechanisms needed to enhance this role. It also allowed for genuine partnerships to be forged between anti-corruption authorities and societies in various Arab countries.

GOPAC Launches 2012 Global Monitoring Survey

GOPAC’s Global Secretariat has launched the 2012 Global Monitoring Survey aimed at assessing the anti-corruption initiatives undertaken by our National Chapters. A report on the survey results is scheduled for release in April 2012. Together, the survey and report form the basis of the Global Monitoring Program. They are essential tools in understanding the effectiveness of GOPAC’s initiatives and will aid in the development of new resources and strategies.

The Global Secretariat asks all National Chapters to complete the survey and return it by February 10, 2012. For additional information on the Global Monitoring Program or to obtain a copy of the Global Monitoring Survey, please contact Priya Sood at the GOPAC Global Secretariat.
