Project Grants provides up to $1,500 per grant to registered charities impacting Centre Wellington. The program also welcomes applications from local registered non-profits who partner with a registered charity.

A local couple passionate about making a difference by tackling Health Equity in our community is creating the “Health Equity Impact Fund” at the Centre Wellington Community Foundation. Dr. Peter McPhedran and Susan McPhedran have lived and worked in Centre Wellington since 1984. Peter and Susan are seeding the fund with an initial $25,000 donation. They hope that it will encourage others in the community to donate and help build a fund that becomes large enough to have a significant impact on our community. This grassroots fund was set up a mere eight days after the Government of Ontario enacted the Declaration of Emergency. It was created as a way for local individuals to donate immediately to support urgent local needs. And did people ever responds! A total of 221 donations where received. Donations came in from Ian Evan's ride across Canada, from CW Men Who Care, and many individuals and local businesses.
One of the grants went to the CRC Winter Wear program. With the snow we received this week, the grant is still providing benefits.
