AIRPORT AUTHORITY MEETING SCHEDULED FOR MONDAY, MAY 2, 2022
The monthly meeting of the Perry-Houston County Airport Authority is scheduled for Monday, May 2, at 4 pm at the new Perry-Houston County Airport terminal. The meeting will be open to the public.

THE AIRPORT MANAGER AND HIS NEW BEST FRIEND!
Sasquatch (the Jack Links mascot) and Jim Marquardt got acquainted during the Jack Links dedication for their new 840,000 sq ft production building to be built close to the Perry-Houston County Airport. The new facility, to be completed by the fall of 2023, will engender 800 local employees and should create a lot of corporate air traffic during the construction period (and hopefully after).  Sasquatch mentioned that while he enjoyed the visit during April, he might just pass on visits during July and August.  Welcome to our new neighbor!

NEW WEBSITE FORMAT COMING!
Perry-Houston County's website is undergoing a remake and will be online soon.  Check on www.pxeairport.com for the updates.  One of the featured updates will be a 360-degree video of our new terminal featuring a virtual walk-through of the entire facility (with thanks to Dawn Jereles of Zenithland Real Estate for the excellent camera work!).

Construction on the resurfacing and extension of runway 36-18 is still continuing at Perry-Houston County Airport.  Milling is completed, subcoating and crack sealing is under way at time of publication. Depending on weather of course, paving will begin soon.  We're looking forward to a newly resurfaced runway later this month.  Crews are working from daylight to dark completing the construction.

Easter Sunrise Service was held at PXE in the front of our corporate hangar.  Pastor Wayne Edwards, Heritage Baptist Church brought the message with friends and neighbors of PXE attending.  Our thanks to Pastor Edwards and to Coy and Carline Goff for organizing this event.

"When life gives you lemons......."  Utilizing our available resources, your airport manager, Jim Marquardt, negotiated some asphalt milling from the old runway removal to construct a parking base for our fuel trucks closer to the new terminal.
