All of us back here in NYC were cheering for you, while being extremely jealous of all your desert swims and sun bathing. We can't wait to hear about your adventures!
LPZ PRACTICES ARE BEING PLACED ON HOLD
Low Pressure Zone workouts are being placed on hold until further notice. This decision was made for two reasons. First, the team is continuing to see a shortage of coaches. Second, Adult Learn To Swim (ALTS) will be coming back on the schedule in the coming months. Please keep your eyes on the MindBody schedule for the most up information on our workouts.
SPEAKING OF ADULT LEARN TO SWIM......
TNYA is the proud recipient of USA Master's Swimming 2022 Adult Learn To Swim Grant. The board is taking a look at the schedule to determine where these workouts will fit in the summer schedule.
Last year's program was a huge success with the help of a number of TNYA volunteers. If you are interested in taking part in the program this year, please contact Chris Bey HERE.
TNYA POOL UPDATES
New York Parks: Team leadership met with Members of NYC Parks to determine the possibility for a partnership in the future. Like us, they are in the midst of rebuilding in the wake of the pandemic. We will continue to monitor and peruse this potential partnership in the future.
Riverside State Park: On the lead from the Parks Department, Team Management has reached out to Riverbank State Park to determine if they would be willing to rent pool time to the Team. We will keep you up to date on these developments.
Borough of Manhattan Community College: From the lead of a teammate, TNYA has sent an inquiry email to BMCC to explore the possibility partnership in the future. We will keep you updated on the progress of this facility as they become available.
Covent of Sacred Heart: TNYA is in the midst of renegotiating its contract with Sacred Heart for the 2022-2023 school year. As directed by the team survey, we have requested practice times that are earlier. However, it is important to note that the facility has other team's that use the pool.
