Dear NPC Family,

I know I am extravagantly loved by God, but like all of us, I have had moments in my life when I have gone through some really difficult things. There are times when I have prayed and prayed and felt like there was no answer. There were weeks and months I would ask God to intervene and it felt like my prayers were not heard. There were times I have sat with people in the deepest grief and wondered - God where are you? Why did you let this happen?

This Sunday, we are going to look at two sisters who lost their brother and wondered where Jesus was. We will look at their response to this suffering and grief, Jesus’ response to them and his powerful statement in John 11, “I am the resurrection and the life. The one who believes in me will live, even though they die.”

Join us this Easter as we explore the grief of suffering, and the one who suffers with us and for us to bring hope out of despair, beauty from ashes, and the dead to life.

Look forward to seeing you on Easter!

Growing UP
Becoming Spiritually
and Emotionally Mature in Christ
One of the number one indicators of success at work and in relationships is our emotional intelligence. After Easter, join us for our new sermon series called “Growing UP: Becoming Spiritually and Emotionally Mature in Christ.” We want to journey with you in growing in your relationship with God and with others. How many of us long for a deeper relationship with God, but don’t know how to develop one? As part of our sermon series we will be doing a 40 day devotional together as a church called “Day by Day” that will be available to pick up on Sundays in the back of the sanctuary and we will begin together the Monday after Easter (April 18). This is a wonderful way to grow in your relationship with God and learn how to love Him and others better.

We will also offer a “Growing UP” Bible Study on Sundays, based on the study “Emotionally Healthy Spirituality,” starting the Sunday after Easter, April 24 at 11:00 - 12:30 in the Fellowship Hall (Eisenhower Hall). Another class will be offered Thursdays at 12:30-1:45 in the conference room. And we will be starting small groups that you can join that will be doing the study- just let us know when you are available.
Our sermon series, Bible study and devotional will cover:
  • Breaking the power of the past
  • Letting go of power and control
  • Surrendering to your limits
  • Practicing rest and Sabbath
  • Learning new skills to love well
  • Loving Christ above all else

Look forward to “Growing UP” in Christ with you.
