Greetings Maynard alumni!
I am extending my sincere thanks on behalf of our Maynard team, your family–to many who helped us make this year's fellowship recruitment successful through your participation in the Maynard 200 Alumni Referral Challenge! Your endorsements were invaluable in our outreach.
We look forward to making this an annual alumni initiative. Your outreach help makes it possible for us to serve more storytellers, media leaders, frontline editors/ managers and entrepreneurs seeking cutting-edge skills and allyship.
This year's Maynard 200 Journalism Fellowship cohort will once again embody this mission, emboldened to dismantle structural racism in the field. We received applications from 127 media professionals across the United States and the globe, representing a wide spectrum of racial, gender and geographic backgrounds.
The program’s current applicants are affiliated with diverse, mainstream and community-based media and organizations including: PBS, ESPN, CNN, Mother Jones, The Washington Informer, Reuters, Fox News, ABC News, The New York Times, Homegirl Media, KQED-TV, 91.7 FM KALW Public Radio, Austin Vida, NPR, KTVU-Fox 2, The Associated Press, CBS3, The Washington Post, The Wall Street Journal, USAID, Eater/Vox Media, Bay Area News Group, Voice of America and many more.
Alumni who referred an applicant for this year’s Maynard 200 Fellowship will be contacted soon about their special online access to plenary sessions in June and October. Please reach out if you would like to check on the application status of an applicant that you referred.
