This has always been a fun and sociable event. So let's hope for dry and warm weather. All standards (or none at all!) are welcome for a few games of boules. We will start at 2 p.m. at the Clegg's Moss Brow Farm, Warburton, WA13 9TJ and probably finish around 4 p.m. depending how many of us there are.
There will be a small prize for any child who takes part. We have only a few spare sets of boules so please bring any Boules sets that you have. If you could make sure that you take away exactly the boules sets you came with!
There will be refreshments with a small charge (£5 per adult) to cover the cost. This will be payable on the day.
You can decide on the day whether to join us but it would really help if you reply to this email if you are planning to come. So we know roughly how many to cater for afterwards.
Can anyone help with either the setup beforehand or with catering?
Any help gratefully received.
French Exchange 2022
Not much extra information to give you just yet. However the Meung Jumelage had their AGM recently and the news passed on to us was as follows.
"We know you're going to be welcomed by the Mayor of Meung on Wednesday 1st at 5 PM, the trip of the whole group is on Friday 3rd (we'll visit a part of the Bas-Berry) , and the official dinner is planned on Saturday 4th."
High Legh Teas
We are hosting the High Legh Teas on Sunday, 28th August. Lesley McIntyre is kindly organising the event for us.
Lesley will need help ringing round to co-ordinate who is preparing what for the event.
She would also like to put on a book/tombola stall as it was popular last time.
There is plenty of time before the event. But if you know that you will be able to help either in advance or on the day then please let Lesley know via lesley.mcintyre@hotmail.com.
Upcoming Events
Please note that we will have a stand at the Food Fest, Lymm Festival on Thursday, 23rd June. We hope to raise awareness of the Society and plan to sell tickets for our barbecue on the 17th July. There will be more details nearer the time.

Stretford Wheelers (Cycling Club) visit Meung
We were delighted that the Cycling Club "The Stretford Wheelers" have decided to visit Meung-Sur-Loire. It happens because some of the riders live in Lymm and suggested Meung as a destination because of the Twinning arrangement. Mr. Brinnon, president of Meung Cyclisme, has given them some advice.
The Wheelers will be in Meung-Sur-Loire from May 15th to the 21st. One of their members is making contact with Mr. Brinon. They want to meet up with the cycling club when they get there.
