  1. Coffs Football 6s (CF6) launch
Tomorrow North Coast Football is launching Coffs Football 6s (CF6) – a program to start a six-a-side football competition on the synthetics at the Coffs Football Centre at Sport and Leisure Park. The plan is essentially the same as what clubs saw at the All Clubs Meetings in December and March. CF6 will provide much needed new revenue streams to NCF to support all forms of football in the region.

We have designed CF6 to offer more football to existing players, to cater to those who can't play at weekends, those who haven't played for a while, and those who are new to the game. All of our publicity makes the point this is about more football.

Mr Kyle Gwynne has been appointed to lead the program. Kyle joins us from Tennis Australia and starts after Easter. Kyle will take over from David Wigley, the project manager for setting up CF6.

David has done an outstanding job on the 'backend' – business planning, registrations, scheduling, logistics, procurement, staff recruitment, competition management and much more. David has been working with the teams at Northern NSW Football, who have done all of this before with FastFives at the Lake Macquarie Regional Football Facility. NCF thanks NNSWF for its help in making CF6 happen. The learning, systems, marketing support and guidance have been invaluable.

Our inaugural posts are here:  The start of CF6 is an exciting time for football on the north coast. CF6 makes us a year-round operation. That said, CF6 won't be an overnight success. It will take years to grow. We're launching in winter, and we're expecting limited interest. It will grow in summer and every competition after that, just as Lake Macquarie has. We know what to expect, and we're taking a long-term view of this project.

We're taking a 'test and learn' approach, and we will look to receiving your ideas on how to get more people involved in all forms of football in the region.
