2. INSPIRE FESTIVAL (DATE CHANGED)

The New Jersey Conference believes in their YOUTH! That is why Inspire Festival, our new Youth outreach Short Film Festival, was created. In collaboration with Evangelism Dept. and Communication & Media Dept., Inspire Festival has been created to get youth people to participate in the mission in a different way, that is through Short Films.

AS REQUESTED BY MANY, the date was changed to MAY 21. So, get your youth involved!

The new submission date is May 11, and we are asking teams to register by April 16. Professors from Southern Adventist University and other professionals in the film industry are involved in the evaluation process. But there will be an opportunity for you all to express your opinions from May 12-18 for the PPL's Choice Prize on our website.

The main expectation is for the short film to be a bridge to introduce a conversation about God with Youth & Young adults in this generation. Our goal is "To inspire people to use Media for evangelism - We Inspire them, they inspire other people to follow God and they Inspire each other to keep working together."

The 1st prize winner will receive $700 😳
2nd place - $450
3rd place - $200
Pros Award - $200
PPL’s choice - $150
Best narrative - $100

3. LET THEM LEAD

We are excited to announce a NEW local church event!!!!

Let Them Lead is to encourage church leaders to empower and disciple youth. It may seem like a Youth Sabbath, however it’s a regular Sabbath led entirely by our youth. Leaders from our churches, use this opportunity to involve the youth in the planning, promoting and leading of the program. It doesn't have to be too complex just led by them. "Seat down" with the youth and plan this together!

Sabbath School ➡ Led by a youth
Announcements ➡ Led by a youth
Divine service ➡ Led by a youth
Worship ➡ Led by a youth
Sermon ➡ Led by a youth

State-wide sport events are back!!!!

We are glad to announce that on Sunday May 24 and June 5 we will be hosting the New Jersey Conference Spring Games! We will have Volley, Basketball, and Soccer. Location will be announced in the coming weeks. Meanwhile get your teams together, involve members and friends! (Don't forget that this is great evangelism tool too)

5. INTRO TO YOUTH MINISTRY COURSE

NAD Youth Director, Tracy Wood has put together a free self-paced online Intro to Youth Ministry course that is definitely a treasure for new directors. If you are (or know any) new local church Youth Director, make sure to explore this.

6. PATHFINDER SURVEY

PLEASE SHARE THIS  SURVEY WITH YOUR PATHFINDERS. WE WANT TO HEAR THEIR VOICES AND OPINIONS.

We understand that many leaders are giving their best in order to be able to serve our young people but we want to hear what are their thoughts concerning the Pathfinder Club. That is why this anonymous survey was created. Your role is just to share the following link with them and encourage them to dedicate 5 minutes to take this survey.

7. PATHFINDER ADVISORY

THIS IS IMPORTANT: THE WORLD IS CONTINUOUSLY CHANGING AND WE WANT TO KEEP UP!

We are still looking for Pathfinders willing to be part of the New Jersey Conference Pathfinder Advisory. It will be a group of Pathfinders who can help the NJCYouth stay updated on new tendencies, give idea, share feedbacks, and especially support us analyze how to help understand how to reach their peers for Christ. We will only meet 3 times a year unless there's an extraordinary need.

We don't want to exclude anybody! So we will need a Pathfinder per registered club (please, suggest us a Pathfinder who is outspoken and that may reflect the need for our clubs). It doesn't need to be the "most consecrated one" but someone that may be a "sample" of this generation of youth.

SUGGEST US A NAME

8. COLUMBIA UNION CAMPOREE REGISTRATION

REGISTRATION IS NOW OPEN TILL JUNE 6!!!

The long awaited registration will be done through the Summit Bechtel Reserve (SBR, Boyscouts of America) system. It is for that reason that is it important that you may watch the tutorials that will be posted on the CUCamporee page on Monday.

Some key points to keep in mind:
