Starting May 4, join Fluence Lead Trainer Jayne Gumpel, LSCW, and Fluence Assistant Trainer Julia King Olivier, MD, for Poetry, Symbols, and Story in Psychedelic Therapy. The 12-week experiential course, meeting weekly until July 27, will explore the use of poetry therapy in psychedelic therapy with individuals and groups.
The course includes 15 hours of APA CE and NYSED CE for Psychologists, LMHCs, and Social Workers, and will address topics such as:
Describing the RES (receptive, expressive, symbolic) model of poetry therapy and its application to integration therapy
Identifying poems and lyrics that relate directly to the process of integrating non-ordinary states of consciousness
Demonstrating the use of non-drug self-transformation efforts such as meditation, creative writing, and journaling as part of psychedelic integration therapy
The roles poetry and creativity can play in healing trauma
