With the move to the Orange setting of the COVID-19 Protection Framework, we're pleased to share that we will be able to resume programmes at Stoke and Nightingale Library Memorial (including planned school holiday events). Keep an eye on our events calendar to see what's on.

Libraries are really important for our community and we’re taking action to keep them open as much as possible while COVID-19 is in the community. However, things can change at short notice as the Omicron outbreak impacts staffing or our ability to safely provide all programmes and services.

A reminder, Nelson is still recording hundreds of cases of COVID-19 per day, so wearing an effective mask when inside is a really important measure to protect our community. Thanks!

Please check our website or Facebook page for the most up-to-date information. We can be reached at library@ncc.govt.nz or on (03) 546 8100 if you have any further questions.

Thank you for your patience and understanding. Stay safe and well out there; kia kaha.

Every beat tells a story

The Heart Foundation is encouraging everyone to know their pulse and check it regularly. Is it a steady beat or is it irregular? An irregular pulse could be a sign of a heart rhythm problem.

  • Elma Turner Library 10.30am – 12.30pm
  • Stoke Library 1.30 – 2.30pm
Pop in to get your pulse checked.
