Principal's Message

Good Morning McGaugh Families,

Project Seek’s Friday Night fundraiser, The Event, was a great success! This was my first (live) Event, and it was so meaningful to feel the excitement and energy we all shared. It was obvious we all had a great time. The fun we had dancing to the cupid shuffle was special. Everyone was there to support our school.  To that end, I can report that you've donated a record number of dollars to help fund the Art Lab, Innovation Lab, and Media Center at McGaugh. Project SEEK works each year to secure the funding necessary to support the McGaugh art teacher and art supplies, the Innovation Lab teacher and supplies, and the Media Center Specialist and supplies at McGaugh.  The funding for these programs and teachers provides invaluable opportunities for our children. Please help me send a Great BIG Thank You to Claudia Vecchio Wile and the Project Seek Board!  Together, we can do anything.

This week, we celebrate the Week of the Military Child. As a community, we'll recognize the important role military children play in our armed forces community. It is also a time to applaud military families, including the children, for making daily sacrifices.  Click Here for the Week of the Military Child spirit day’s dress attire.

I have fond memories of growing up as a military child. Gowing up in military housing, we oftentimes had an instant community, playing basketball in the base gym with friends or swimming in the base pool. To be in a community that honors and celebrates our military families and children brings all the bonds full circle for me.

Lastly, don’t forget, Open House is Thursday, Apr 14, 2022, from 6:00 PM - 7:00 PM. Our teachers and students have been working hard all year long.  We’re excited to also show off some the 2021-2022 Reflections Artwork, which parents can also pick up at the end of the night.

That's all for now!
